Battlefield Bad Company 2: Still active community? BC2 is on steam for £3.74 for the next 15 hours. I sank hundreds of hours into BC2 on X360 when I was younger and now I've graduated onto pc gaming want to replay the online stuff as it is some of the most fun I've had in gaming. I would be buying it primarily for the online content
For me option 2 worked. Now I was able to enter the serials and connect. After that first time no serials were needed anymore. Both Bad Company & Vietnam work. Severs come up after first clicking 'search'. After you have done this you still have to go to the Punkbuster site and do an update of Punkbuster, otherwise a lot of servers will not let

The first stickied post is "Yes, the servers are still online." For those who barge in asking if the game is still alive. I miss those days in Bad Company 2, full squad having a blast no matter what. As we were shown, I think BF1 will make up to it. Yes, still rocking it. I was wondering the same thing myself.
I tried deleting the settings.ini folder in documents and verifying integrity of game files, but nothing seems to work. A little help would be nice, thank you. Edit: Found the solution: just renamed the settings.ini file, and it worked for me, now the game will start. Same my game keeps crashing when I try to start it.
